In the late spring, early summer, at the Amoskeag Fishways you can watch migrating river herring, and American shad make their way up the 54 steps of the fish ladder to avoid the Amoskeag Dam.
Lake Winnipasaukee, the largest lake in NH is enjoyed all year with boating in the summer and ice fishing enthusiasts in their fishing shanties during the winter months.
